Body found in hunt for missing personal trainer Elena Moore, 39, after cops called her disappearance ‘out of character’
A BODY has been found in the hunt for missing personal trainer Elena Katherine Moore after her family described her disappearance “very out of character”.
Police said the body was discovered wearing clothing matching the 39-year-old fitness instructor, who vanished after leaving a South Carolina gym last week.

Authorities have not yet formally identified the body and are awaiting confirmation from a coroner.
The grim discovery comes after a week-long search for Moore, who was last seen at 9.17pm on June 11 after earlier visiting Planet Fitness in Lexington.
Surveillance footage showed the personal trainer walking toward a wooded area behind a nearby Lowe’s Home Improvement store while wearing an olive-green zip-up hoodie and black athletic pants.
According to Fox 8, police recovered a body wearing clothing matching that description.
Authorities have not yet revealed where or when the body was found.
Investigators had expanded their search on Wednesday to woodland near Lakeside Middle School, around a mile from the gym, The State reported.
Moore’s husband, Brannon Slice, reported her missing the day after she vanished and described the disappearance as “very out of character” for his wife of one year.
It comes as disturbing footage emerged showing Moore apparently acting confused in the days before she disappeared.
Ring camera video obtained by NewsNation showed the fitness instructor wandering around an apartment complex, handling food deliveries and looking through packages left outside residents’ homes.
One homeowner told the outlet Moore appeared “disoriented about where she was or whatever she was doing.”
The man’s partner later spotted her going through a neighbor’s packages, and Moore admitted she did not know what she was doing when questioned.
The couple said they handed the footage to police.

Additional video obtained by The U.S. Sun appeared to show Moore taking a Doordash order from a delivery driver before knocking on a resident’s door a delivering it herself.
Neighbor Sarah Burleson claimed Moore seemed “confused” during the encounter.
“Something seemed very off and I really hope she turns up safe and sound,” Burleson told The U.S. Sun.
“For the past week we thought it was a crazy Doordash experience.
“We have it set for no contact delivery so the food is to be set down take a pic and leave.
“When the ring camera goes off twice is when he [her partner] goes to answer the door and I click live on the ring camera and watch the interaction.
“We did not even know at first that the white woman was not our Doordash lady.”
Friends had also voiced concerns over Moore’s recent behaviour.

Lauren Beasley told Fox News that the trainer had largely disappeared from her online accounts in recent weeks.
“She is very active on social media so her going radio [silence] for the last month is out of character,” she said.
Beasley, who had not spoken to Moore in around a month, said she appeared normal during their last interactions.
“She did not say anything personal about anything she was going through. She got married last year, but she didn’t say anything about her relationship or work or anything personal,” Beasley told Fox News.
Police previously said they were attempting to track Moore’s cellphone, although it was unclear whether she still had the device.
