Este jueves 19 de diciembre, durante la conferencia Mañanera que tiene lugar en Palacio Nacional, Claudia Sheinbaum, junto con el Secretario de Economía, Marcelo Ebrard, firmaron un decreto cuyo efecto consiste en la ampliación de aranceles de importación a fracciones vinculadas a la industria textil, de donde se desprenden en torno de 400 mil empleos.

Además de replantear los aranceles a productos textiles de importación, el gobierno de la 4T realizó una revisión de la entrada de productos terminados, como los comercializados por las firmas Shein, Temu o AliExpress

¿Aumento de aranceles perjudica a Shein y Temu?
Marcelo Ebrard detalló que “se contempla un arancel de 35% a 138 fracciones arancelaria (textiles y confección) y la limitación de la importación temporal para textiles (INMEX), con ello, se protegen 400 mil empleos y una competencia económica justa”.
Así, el Secretario explicó que la ampliación aranceles excluye a la importación proveniente de países con los que México tiene tratados de libre comercio, y no están enfocados en un país en específico.
Los productos cuya importación se restringirá son aquellas materias primas libres de impuestos, que fabricantes extranjeros pueden introducir bajo la condición de que el 100% de los productos terminados se exporten.
De acuerdo con Ebrard, el 48% de las fracciones de la industria no cumplen con el retorno, por lo que dicha limitación estará vigente hasta el 22 de abril de 2026.
Son medidas para proteger una de las industrias más importantes en materia de empleo en nuestro país.
