Jeremy Clarkson has spoken candidly about one big thing that he still finds immensely frustrating about working at Diddly Squat Farm.

Speaking ahead of the premiere of Clarkson’s Farm season five, the beloved British broadcaster explained: “After six or seven years of farming, I still can’t attach anything to the back of a tractor.

“I can’t remember the sequence of buttons, I can’t line anything up properly, and I don’t know where the hydraulic hoses go. It disappoints me that I still have to get Kaleb to help. Anything practical, I can’t do.

“It’s annoying in everyday life, but on a farm it’s absolutely infuriating.”

Jeremy’s words come as the new season sees the former Top Gear host facing a terrifying health scare that forces him to scale back his work at Diddly Squat Farm.

Meanwhile, things don’t go quite to plan even after Jeremy buys some new Easy Care sheep, which he hopes will be easier to handle, but he is quickly proved wrong.

There will be robotic tractors that Kaleb Cooper fears might take his job as Diddly Squat uses new technology to help out around the farm.

Season five also sees Jeremy standing up for farmers’ rights in the wake of a government budget that has devastating financial implications for those in the agriculture industry.

Reflecting on the impact of Clarkson’s Farm, Jeremy said: “I like to think Clarkson’s Farm has altered the way people think about farming.

“I think more people now appreciate just how difficult it is and just how badly paid it is. For that reason alone, I think the programme has been a good thing.”

Season five consists of eight episodes, which will be split into three parts.

The first four instalments will be landing on June 3 on Prime Video to get audiences immersed back into the world of Diddly Squat Farm.

Episodes five and six arrived on June 10 and the final two instalments come on June 17.

Along with Jeremy and Kaleb, the rest of the team will be back including Charlie Ireland, Gerald Cooper and Lisa Hogan.
