THE wedding of TV’s Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash has never been made legal.

They held a lavish ceremony at their Essex home in 2022 but didn’t follow it up.

The pair, who have six kids, built lucrative careers on their family image.
They staged a showy wedding in the garden of their Instagram-famous home but never “got round” to formally registering the union.
A source explained: “They always intended to do the legal part, but with six kids and busy diaries just haven’t got round to it — life has got in the way.”
EastEnders star Joe, 44, and Sort Your Life Out host Stacey, 36, built highly-lucrative careers based on their family image, including brand deals and a BBC reality show.
And an insider said: “Fans will be justified in feeling they’ve been misled.
“And it will certainly raise eyebrows with firms and even TV execs that they’ve invested in a perfect picture that’s all a sham.”
The Sun’s revelation comes after it emerged last weekend that ITV personality Olivia Attwood and footballer Bradley Dack did not make their marriage legal after a ceremony in front of cameras.
Stacey, who has two children from a previous relationship, and Joe, who has one, threw a lavish wedding bash in the garden of their historic £1.2million Essex home Pickle Cottage in July 2022.
Stacey wore a stunning off-white gown with a tulle skirt and corset-style top, while Joe wore a navy three-piece suit and bow tie.
The big-hearted couple chose not to follow the celebrity trend of selling photos of their big day to a magazine.

Instead they shared snaps on social media and asked media outlets who used them to make a donation to bereaved children’s charity Grief Encounter.
They wrote online about their big day in a joint post for their millions of Instagram followers.
One caption read: “Forever. Me and My Husband. I don’t think I will ever get used to saying that. It all feels like a dream.”
Stacey then added a quote from writer Dr Seuss which said: “You know you’re in love when you don’t want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
She went on: “The most special day that we didn’t ever want to end.
“We love you all and the special community we’ve built on here so, so much and couldn’t wait to share these moments with you.”
Famous guests included Stacey’s Loose Women co-star Linda Robson, a best friend of Joe’s mum. Towie’s James Argent performed with his band.
The happy couple were congratulated online by celebs including Stacey’s then-best pal Sophie Hinchliffe, known as influencer Mrs Hinch.
She wrote: “You are the most beautiful bride, and this was the most beautiful day.
“I love you both so much Stace. Mr and Mrs Solomon Swash always.”
A source said: “Stacey and Joe obviously knew that their garden wedding wasn’t legal and were upfront about that.”

Stacey briefed fans about the technicalities of marrying at home, confirming they would make it legal after the bash.
She wrote: “To get married anywhere legally, the place has to have a ‘civil ceremony’ licence.
“One of the requirements for this licence is that the premises must be made ‘readily available’ for ceremonies.
“As this is our private family home and we need it to remain that way we couldn’t go for that option.
“So we are having a relaxed private blessing in front of our closest friends and family and a ceremony of our love to each other.
“We will register our marriage legally after.”
Stacey, who appeared on the X Factor in 2009 and won I’m a Celebrity the next year, often plays host to TV cameras at the house.
It featured in her Channel 4 series Renovation Rescue and long-running BBC series Sort Your Life Out, where she advises on decor and organisation.
She is now a Loose Woman and recently sat on the panel for Britain’s Got Talent.

Joe, who found fame in Albert Square as Mickey Miller and won I’m A Celeb in 2008, has most recently fronted BBC documentary Teens in Care, based on his own experiences.
Together they star in a reality series Stacey & Joe, which has run for two series since 2024.
They command a hefty fee for brand work, including family fashion ranges for Primark and George at Asda and complimentary trips with Haven Holidays.
They met on I’m A Celeb in 2010, when Joe was hosting spin-off Extra Camp, but did not start dating until 2016.
Joe proposed on Christmas Eve in 2020 during a romantic woodland walk and their wedding plans soon captivated fans.
In an exclusive interview and photoshoot with Hello magazine, Stacey said: “Our dogs Theo and Peanut will of course also be involved!
“They’re getting suits made and they’ll have bow ties.”
In a video after the wedding, she said: “We have cleaned the tables and chairs and they’re ready to be donated.
“We wanted to spread the donations across different charities.”
The family moved into their mansion in 2021 and have had three children together, taking the total to six.
Representatives for Joe and Stacey declined to comment.
