“There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soulmate,” Hayek captioned her Instagram post

Salma Hayek is reminiscing about one of the “best days” of her life.

The Magic Mike’s Last Dance star shared to Instagram a series of throwback images from her 2009 wedding to François-Henri Pinault on Thursday, April 25, reflecting on the happiness the day brought her in the post’s caption.

“There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soulmate. For all of you who found it, never take it for granted. For all of you who haven’t, never give up,” Hayek wrote alongside the wedding pictures.

The actress led off the post with a seemingly candid image of herself in her wedding dress and full bridal makeup while looking off into the distance.

The following image was a black-and-white snapshot of Hayek’s two wedding dresses hanging on the metal bar of a clothing rack next to each other.

The third and final image shows Pinault placing a wedding ring on Hayek’s finger while standing at an altar with friends and family looking on from the pews.

Hayek and Pinault’s relationship began in 2006, and the pair welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Valentina Paloma Pinault, one year later.

Pinault is a French businessman and the CEO of Kering, a luxury conglomerate that owns and operates labels such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen.

The businessman is also father to three older children: François, Mathilde and Augustin, from a previous relationship.

The couple were officially married in Paris in 2009, and the Puss in Boots star then legally changed her name to Salma Hayek Pinault.

Hayek has repeatedly praised her husband over the years, telling Harper’s Bazaar in 2017, “I married the right guy.”

“That is probably the most important thing,” she continued at the time. “We support each other in everything we do. We want the other one to strive. [It] makes you happy when the other one strives.”
