El padre de Sergio Pérez se encontraba estable en un hospital de la Ciudad de México después de colapsar en su casa tras el fuerte accidente que sufrió su hijo en el Gran Premio de Azerbaiyán del domingo, informaron medios locales.
El piloto de Fórmula 1 de Red Bull, Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez, y el piloto de Ferrari Carlos Sainz luchaban por el tercer puesto en Bakú cuando chocaron y acabaron contra el muro, con un coche de seguridad virtual desplegado hasta el final de la carrera. Ambos salieron ilesos.
Un comunicado de la organización de la carrera Scuderia Pérez dijo que Antonio Pérez Garibay, de 65 años, permanecerá bajo estrecha supervisión médica durante varios días.
“Todo pasó después del accidente”, dijo desde el hospital, según el sitio web www.mediotiempo.com .
