Rihanna and A$AP Rocky—who share sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2—welcomed a third baby Sept. 13. And the newborn’s name has a special meaning for her father.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky found a new love.

The “Love on the Brain” singer and “Praise the Lord” rapper—who are already parents to sons RZA, 3, and Riot, 2—welcomed baby Rocki Irish Mayers on Sept. 13.

And the newborn’s name pays special homage to her father (real name Rakim Mayers), who was nicknamed Rocky before adopting it as his stage name.

Rihanna shared the news of baby Rocki’s birth on her Instagram Sept. 24, posting a photo of herself holding the newborn, who was clad in a pink onesie with matching socks. The 37-year-old also included a photo of tiny, pink boxing gloves, possibly a nod to the famous boxing film, Rocky.

The couple first shared the news of Rihanna’s pregnancy in May when the Grammy winner posted a portrait by photographer Miles Diggs. She then officially debuted her baby bump at the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP, 36, served as co-chair.

And while the baby shares a name with her father, the “Sundress” rapper recently joked he was hoping to name the newborn after his Highest 2 Lowest costar Denzel Washington regardless of the gender.

“Denzel, no matter what,” he quipped to GQ in an interview published Sept. 22. “The first female come out named Denzel, it’s lit. We got it figured out.”

And while they went for Rocki over Denzel, one thing is for certain: how obsessed Rihanna and A$AP are with their children.

“I got nothing but love to give to these little ones,” the “Sundress” rapper gushed to GQ. “And as you can see, that’s what occupies a lot of my heart capacity, is my family.”

In fact, the couple try to keep all their conversations about work out of the house, and instead keep their focus on their sons and new baby.

“When you come home, it’s about family,” he shared during a recent interview with Elle. “It’s about your relationship. It’s about your household. It ain’t about all that other s–t.”

And for Rihanna, becoming a mother has completely changed how she sees the world.

“Oh, my god, it’s legendary,” she told British Vogue about motherhood in 2023. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.”
