Carole Middleton arrived at Royal Ascot’s second day wearing a pale pink Catherine Walker coat dress with special significance, the same elegant piece she donned at daughter Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews in 2017.
The Princess of Wales’s mother was spotted in the Royal Enclosure on Wednesday, joined by Alizee Thevenet, wife of her son James Middleton.
While Mrs Middleton did not participate in the Royal Procession, she took her place in the Royal Box ahead of her daughter’s arrival at the prestigious racing event.
Neither James Middleton nor Carole’s husband Michael, appeared to be present at the racecourse.

Mrs Middleton accessorised her recycled ensemble with fresh additions from royally-favoured brands, opting for Emmy London’s Mabel textured leather bag and Lisa suede slingback pumps, both in a misty rose shade.
Her jewellery selection featured Kiki McDonough’s Grace mini lavender amethyst and diamond detachable earrings, another label frequently worn by the Princess of Wales.
Completing the coordinated look, she chose a wide-brimmed pink hat with delicate veiled netting, also designed by Catherine Walker.
The outfit choices reflected Mrs Middleton’s tendency to draw sartorial inspiration from her daughter, selecting pieces from designers beloved by the Princess of Wales.

Ms Thevenet dressed entirely in French labels Longchamp and Sézane for the occasion.
The Prince and Princess of Wales made their entrance in the Royal Procession, travelling in the second carriage alongside the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon.
Catherine’s attendance marked her first appearance at the racing event since 2023, having missed last year’s meeting at the last minute.

The royal couple were last seen publicly on Monday at Garter Day ceremonies at Windsor Castle.
Prince William was due to present trophies for the Prince of Wales’s Stakes, while Lady Sarah Chatto, Princess Margaret’s daughter, was scheduled to award The Queen’s Vase.
