RAY OF SUNSHINE

Princess Kate stuns in vibrant yellow as she joins William, Charles & Camilla at Royal Ascot for first time in 3 years

THE Princess of Wales has made her first Royal Ascot appearance since her cancer diagnosis today.

She and Prince William were among the royals turning out for the second day of the famous horseracing festival.

King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived for the second day of the sporting event.

Stunning Princess Kate beamed in a yellow dress, alongside husband William in a display of unity.

It is the first time Kate has attended Royal Ascot since 2023 – which was months before she revealed she was receiving cancer treatment.

Last year, she was named in the official list for the carriage procession – but less than 30 minutes later, Kensington Palace said she would not be attending.

Royal sources said at the time that she was trying to find the “right balance” as she returned to public engagements.

William and Kate will enjoy the day in the royal box alongside King Charles and Camilla.

Animated King Charles and Queen Camilla were snapped cheering on a horse yesterday as they kicked off the first day of the races.

The King and Queen will be hoping for better luck on the track today after their horse, Reaching High, finished last in the Ascot Stakes on Tuesday.

Their colt, Point Of Law – sired by legendary flat racehorse Frankel – is 8/1 in the Queen’s Vase at 3.05pm.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were among the official guests who took part in the traditional carriage procession.

Carole Middleton turned heads at Royal Ascot today as she arrived in style alongside daughter-in-law Alizee Thevenet.

The 71-year-old looked effortlessly glamorous in a blush pink coat dress she first wore to daughter Pippa Middleton’s wedding nine years ago.

Carole appeared to have barely aged a day as she recycled the elegant Catherine Walker outfit for a day at the famous Berkshire race meeting.

She is set to rub shoulders with senior royals including the King and Queen inside the exclusive Windsor Enclosure, as Princess Kate makes her return to Ascot for the first time in two years.

Carole has become an increasingly familiar face on the royal circuit and earlier this year joined Princess Anne at Cheltenham Festival’s Ladies Day.

Royal Ascot, the crown jewel of Britain’s racing calendar, got under way yesterday and runs until Saturday.

While the racing takes centre stage, the festival is just as renowned for its fashion, with eye-catching hats and bold outfits once again stealing the show.

Racegoers arrived dressed to impress, transforming the course into a dazzling sea of colour as they showcased vibrant prints and statement headpieces.

The Royal Procession is a pageantry that marks the start of the day’s sporting entertainment with members of the royal family arriving in a horse-drawn carriage.

The King and Queen described the feature as the “thrilling action on the track” on the official programme.

And former England manager Sir Gareth Southgate will be handing out prizes for the opening race – hours before the Three Lions kick off their World Cup campaign against Croatia.

Kate and Wills stole the show with their children during the weekend’s Trooping the Colour ceremony as well as Monday’s Garter Day celebrations at Windsor Castle.

Prince George joined his siblings at the celebrations for the King’s official birthday on Saturday – and his parents announced on Monday he is soon to be attending Eton, following in the footsteps of his father.
