“THIS WASN’T JUST A SPLIT…” — Lucy Beaumont’s Post-Marriage Move SH0CKS Fans 😱 Living With Ex-Husband Jon Richardson’s Close Friend Raises Big Questions

Lucy Beaumont’s rise on Celebrity Traitors surprised few — a performer skilled at mixing fact and fiction, publicly turning her domestic disputes with husband Jon Richardson into television entertainment.

However, when the 42-year-old confirmed the end of their nine-year marriage, viewers suddenly questioned what was real and what was scripted — especially when, months later, Lucy was seen stepping into a new romance with someone very close to Jon: his friend, sound engineer Martin Wallace.

The move sent rumours into a frenzy. And now, with Lucy choosing to take a major step by moving in with Martin, the public’s curiosity has only intensified.

An insider told us:

“Lucy and Jon made jokes about their relationship, but the cracks were deeper than most realised. Things reached a breaking point.”

Contrary to speculation, there is no suggestion of an affair. But once the marriage officially ended, Lucy and Martin’s relationship progressed quickly — evolving from friendship to romance, and now cohabitation.

Our insider explained:

“Lucy is really happy. Living with Martin marks a fresh start — and it’s different because he’s not a public figure. She’s learned from sharing so much of her former marriage.”

The complication, of course, is that Martin was not a stranger — he had worked with Jon on his 2014 tour and was within the couple’s circle.

The marriage itself was already under immense pressure, especially with Meet the Richardsons exposing their fictionalised personal lives — blurring lines between real tensions and comedic portrayals.

Lucy hinted at dissatisfaction long before the split, once joking on screen:

“I don’t see this for life.”

Diagnosed with ADHD, Lucy later stressed that her TV persona was exaggerated.

“People think those arguments were real — they weren’t. But there were truths underneath.”

Since the breakup, she has become more protective of her private life — and has admitted guilt about sharing so much of her marriage and family publicly.

Despite that, Lucy has no regrets regarding the separation itself.

Jon and Lucy began dating in 2013, married two years later, and share a daughter, Elsie Louise.

After years of joint television and business ventures, the pair built a combined £6million fortune. In June, Lucy stepped down as director from their company, This Guy at Night Limited. Jon then paid her £1.625million for her shares.

They still co-own two £1million properties, though Lucy has moved elsewhere — now living with Martin.

Meanwhile, Lucy’s career thrives independently. Her appearance on The Traitors — alongside Alan Carr, Stephen Fry, and Celia Imrie — proved she’s established in her own right.

As one insider noted:

“Being asked to join The Traitors shows her career stands strong without Jon. Her professional success is growing, not shrinking.”

Martin, though connected to her past, represents a distinctly different future — one Lucy appears determined to handle with more privacy and maturity than the marriage that came before.
