Louisiana Man Charged With Attempted M*rder After Assumption Parish Sh00ting Investigation

A 20-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree m-rder following an early June sh00ting in Assumption Parish that left one person injured.

According to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, Robert Lee Scott Jr. of Napoleonville turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday after investigators gathered evidence linking him to the incident.

Scott is also charged with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.

Investigation Led Detectives to Suspect

Deputies said they obtained evidence showing Scott allegedly armed with a firearm at the time of the incident.

Authorities interviewed multiple witnesses as part of the investigation and collected information surrounding the shooting.

According to the sheriff’s office, one victim suffered what was described as a superficial injury believed to have been caused by gunfire.

No additional injuries were reported.

Suspect Turns Himself In

After learning of the investigation, Scott voluntarily surrendered to authorities.

He was subsequently booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center, where he remains in custody.

Officials have not released additional information regarding the circumstances that led to the shooting or whether others may face charges.
