Princess Alexandra has welcomed her second child into the world with her husband Nicolas Bagory, it has been confirmed. Alexandra, 34, gave birth to a baby boy named Hélie on October 17, according to a statement from the Grand Ducal Court.
This is the princess’ second child, with Alexandra having given birth to Victoire in May last year. The princess, who is Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg’s daughter, is believed to be doing well.
The happy news comes just weeks after the princess’ father abdicated from the throne and was replaced by his eldest son, Guillaume V, Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
As the fourth child of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Alexandra is in line to the throne and is currently in seventh place.
Her daughter is eighth-in-line to the throne, with her newborn son now ninth-in-line.
No photograph has been shared of the newest addition to the family, however royal fans have already begun to send messages of congratulations to the family.
