Young royal fan shouts ‘I love you bro’ to Prince William and his reaction is gold

A young royal fan recently shouted “I love you bro” to Prince William. It’s fair to say his reaction was pretty golden.

A boy recently called out to the Prince of Wales, prompting a rather remarkable reaction. On Wednesday (June 3), Prince William embarked on a demanding schedule across South East London, attending multiple engagements, with a particular moment captured on camera leaving witnesses thoroughly impressed.

A video of the encounter was posted on X, formerly Twitter, by a woman identified as Susanna Fataki, and observers have been astonished by how the future King engaged with members of the public. As he departed a pub, where he had spent time during his schedule, a boy was heard shouting “I love you bro” and what transpired next proved absolutely remarkable.

This isn’t the first occasion the Prince has been spotted charming the public either. Previously, he was even photographed riding around Windsor Castle on a scooter.

Yet this week, he did something rather different while engaging with crowds. Susanna explained: “Outside the pub, excited young lads were shouting ‘I love you bro!’

“He stopped and reached out to shake hands with one of them. Such a lovely moment.”

Footage accompanied the post, documenting how the Prince connected with onlookers. As William was departing, people began waving as he left in the vehicle, but then the car came to an abrupt halt.

One youngster shouted “I love you bro”, and Prince William subsequently extended his hand from the car window and shook the young Royal enthusiast’s hand. The gesture sparked considerable excitement, as the boy appeared utterly disbelieving of what had just occurred.

The clip has accumulated thousands of views since it was posted online, with viewers eager to share their thoughts and opinions.

One wrote: “This is fantastic! I think those young guys made Prince William’s day too!” Another added: “Oh, love this.”

A third replied: “Cool.” Susanna also responded, writing: “It was pure joy to see them so happy about Prince William.”

It is just one of numerous videos to have gone viral since Prince William descended on London on Wednesday, delighting crowds as he chatted with locals and spent time at a neighbourhood pub.

During the visit, he even pledged to safeguard Britain’s pubs while in Peckham, where he was photographed pulling pints and engaging with regulars.

The Prince of Wales packed a great deal into his day, stopping off at the Prince of Peckham pub, as well as visiting a community charity and heading to Shoreditch for the Diana Award event. During his time behind the bar, he was spotted in conversation with the establishment’s owner, Clem Ogbonnaya.

William remarked that the nation’s pubs are “so important”, describing them as “a place for the community to come together”, while acknowledging they are in need of public support.

Speaking at the Prince of Peckham, William said: “I love pubs. I want to do as much as I can to support pubs because I love the community. We need to protect our pubs.”
