Amanda Owen has revealed the “overwhelming pride and love” she felt for her daughter Raven on graduation day – after she successfully started a faulty vehicle.
The Our Yorkshire Farm and Our Farm Next Door star, who shares nine children with former partner Clive, has consistently championed equipping youngsters with practical abilities as their lives on Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales unfolds on screen.
Raven, 24, is the couple’s firstborn and in 2022 obtained a Biomedical Science degree from York St John’s University, reports the Mirror.
Looking back on the memorable occasion, TV star Amanda posted photographs from Raven’s graduation ceremony on Instagram, including an image of her qualification certificate.
“For Raven,” penned the star, also recognised as the Yorkshire Shepherdess.

“I remember so fondly how proud I felt on the day of your graduation.
“You had managed to get your neighbours car started without jump leads by disconnecting your car battery and using a couple of spanners.”
“The overwhelming pride and love that I had for you that day,” Amanda went on, including the hashtags “#skills” and “#lifeskills”.

Amanda and Clive are parents to Raven along with Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy. The couple separated in 2022 following 22 years of marriage but still work together and co-parent their children.
Their original television programme Our Yorkshire Farm documented their life raising their family at Ravenseat Farm. Their latest series, Our Farm Next Door, chronicles their efforts to transform a dilapidated farm property into a family home.
