Prince Harry and Meghan will stay in ROYAL residence with kids during UK visit after King offers olive branch

THE King has offered for Prince Harry and Meghan to stay at a royal residence when the family make their return to the UK next month.
King Charles also offered the Sussex family security arrangements following the Duke’s battle for taxpayer-funded bodyguards.

Harry, 41, will be in London and Birmingham between July 6 and 10 for a series of events with his patronages including a one-year countdown party for the Invictus Games.
This will be the first visit to the UK for Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, for four years.
The Duke previously whinged it was “impossible” to bring his family to the UK after losing the lengthy High Court battle last year for taxpayer-funded armed bodyguards.
The Sun first revealed six months ago that his bid for 24-hour gun cops was being reviewed by the Home Office – six years after it was removed when he stepped down as a working royal and moved to the US.

We also revealed Meghan would travel with Harry this summer to the Invictus Games countdown – only if he won 24-hour armed guards.
Now sources close to Harry say new “conditions” ahead of next month’s visit mean “a safe return” can take place.
The duke – who spent less than 45 minutes with the King when he visited in September – has also factored in ‘pockets of downtime’ during his five-day family trip in a bid to see his father, it is understood.
It has reportedly been “a point of great sadness” for Harry that he cannot bring his family to the UK so they can reconnect with his loved ones.
King Charles was thrilled to meet his granddaughter Lilibet during her visit in 2022 and said their first meeting was “very emotional”.
Meghan, 44, has not set foot in the UK since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
The King, 77, is believed to have a normal schedule of engagements when Harry is in London and Birmingham between July 6 and 10.
A source said: “He obviously saw his father in September, they speak regularly and there is a hope they will both be able to find time in their schedules to catch up when Harry is in the UK.”

The Duchess of Sussex would not be likely to carry out her own engagements when in the UK but to “support” Harry on the trip.
The five-day ‘working holiday’ will culminate with a party marking 12 months out from Invictus Games 2027 in Birmingham.
Meghan has attended one-year countdown parties in Dusseldorf in 2022 and Vancouver in 2024.
Charles has not met his grandchildren since Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee in 2022.
It is convention for the Invictus Games to invite the host nation’s head of state and head of armed forces to the games, which for the UK is King Charles.
But Charles and royals are not expected to be invited to July’s 12-month countdown.
Currently Harry must give the Royal and VIP Executive Committee 30 days notice of any UK visit and they will decide the appropriate level of protection.
It is understood that despite submitting his travel plans in plenty of time he is yet to receive a response from Ravac.
The committee is made up of royal household, Metropolitan Police, Home Office, Cabinet Office and Foreign Office officials.
A government spokesman said: “The UK Government’s protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.
“It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals’ security.”
