Prince William is understood to be planning to take a significantly tougher stance on his uncle Prince Andrew once he ascends to the throne.
On Friday, Prince Andrew announced he would surrender his title as Duke of York amid mounting scandals relating to his former relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
In the statement, he said he would “put my duty to my family and country first” and give up the use of his ducal title amid “continued accusations” against him.
However, Prince William is believed to be: “Not satisfied with the outcome.”
As such, William is seen to be seeking a “more ruthless” approach to dealing with his disgraced uncle, The Sunday Times reported.
The Prince of Wales is seeking to exclude Andrew from his Coronation ceremony and prohibit his attendance at all royal occasions, both public and private.
William’s hardline stance is also believed to encompass Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s former wife, who has also been embroiled in the Epstein scandal and similarly lost the use of her Duchess of York title on Friday.
She is believed to also be facing exclusion from royal gatherings under the future king’s plans.

However, the pair’s daughters would receive different treatment.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie would continue to receive invitations to both family occasions and state functions, according to The Sunday Times.
As part of Friday’s announcement, it was revealed that the 37 and 35-year-olds will retain their title as princesses as they are granddaughters of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Andrew will similarly retain his princely title, as a son of the former Sovereign.

William is thought to have a much softer opinion of his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie

Going forward, the Government has indicated it will defer to the Royal Family regarding any formal removal of Andrew’s remaining titles.
Energy Secretary Ed Miliband told Sky News that ministers would be “guided by the palace and the Royal Family” on such matters.
The cabinet minister’s statements come as the Metropolitan Police confirmed they are “actively looking into” claims that Prince Andrew sought to have his police protection officer investigate his late accuser, Virginia Giuffre.
Newly emerged emails from 2011 appeared to show the prince explaining to the late Queen’s deputy press secretary that he had given his taxpayer-funded bodyguard sensitive personal details about Ms Giuffre with a view to investigating her.

Mr Miliband described these allegations as “deeply concerning”, stating that if accurate, this would represent an inappropriate use of close protection officers.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred hours before the publication of the now-infamous photograph showing Andrew with Ms Giuffre in London.
It comes as part of a long series of recent damaging allegations for Andrew and Sarah Ferguson relating to their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that have emerged in recent weeks.
The royals are also bracing for the upcoming posthumous release of Virginia Giuffre’s memoir.
Prince Andrew has consistently and strongly denied the allegations made against him by his late accuser.
GB News has approached Kensington Palace and the representatives of Prince Andrew for comment.
