How sweet!
Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly moved into their new home of Forest Lodge.
The couple announced over the summer that they would be relocating with their three young children, upsizing from the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage to the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge, also on the Windsor Estate.
While their move was vaguely expected to take place “in time for Christmas”, it was recently reported that the couple had brought the date forward. This was apparently to allow George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, time to settle in over the half-term holidays.

Prince William and Kate ‘thank Forest Lodge builders’
According to the Daily Mail, the Prince and Princess of Wales have since thrown a thank you party for the builders and staff who worked hard to get them into their new home early.
The couple very sweetly just wanted to say thank you.
As per the newspaper, the couple laid on drinks and nibbles at The York Club. It’s a members-only pub for residents and employees of the Crown Estate, near to their new home.
“The couple very sweetly just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to help,” a local source reportedly explained.

Why did William and Kate move house?
Forest Lodge has been widely dubbed the family’s “forever home”. Reports have suggested that they intend to stay living there, even when Prince William eventually becomes king.
Another source also reportedly discussed the family’s motive behind their house move.
Despite planning to live at Adelaide Cottage for a few more years, William and Kate apparently wanted a “fresh start” for the sake of their children.
“Every part of Adelaide Cottage, sadly, had an unpleasant memory associated with it,” the source apparently claimed.
The family-of-five moved into the four-bedroom property in August 2022, a key reason being to be closer to the late Queen Elizabeth II. However, she sadly died just weeks after they moved in.
Two years later, the Wales family were of course hit by further hardship. Both the king and the Princess of Wales were diagnosed with cancer.
In his recent TV appearance with Eugene Levy, Prince William described 2024 as the “hardest year” of his life.
Kate is now, thankfully, in remission after undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy.
“It’s a lovely house and they started with such high hopes, but in the end they have experienced some of their most challenging times there as a family. Little wonder that William feels like it was cursed,” the source added.
We wish them all the happiness in their new home!
