Just in January, the second season premiered and, after it was confirmed that filming for The Night Agent 3 is already underway, fans of this franchise are eager to know more. Netflix hasn’t revealed much, but here we’ve gathered some details so you can learn more about it.
What will The Night Agent 3 be about?
It is expected that the events that concluded the second season will deeply influence the plots of the third. In this new installment, Peter will face the consequences of his decision to strike a deal with the FBI and become an informant within the Monroe organization. His internal struggle revolves around discovering what kind of person he is capable of being and whether he can maintain his moral principles while carrying out this job.

After preventing a chemical weapons attack at the United Nations headquarters, Peter’s past, as well as the deals he made earlier, begin to take their toll. This leads him to end his relationship with Rose, trying to protect her, and she returns to California in the hope of rebuilding her life.
Although it’s still unknown if their separation will be permanent, the creator has mentioned that it will be something resolved as the story progresses, always aiming to make it realistic and coherent with the plot. Therefore, even though they might be distanced in the third season, the possibility of a future reunion is not ruled out.
When is The Night Agent 3 releasing?
As of now, the third season doesn’t have an official release date on Netflix; however, it’s expected to arrive on the streaming platform sometime in 2026.
Where is The Night Agent 3 being filmed?
According to Netflix, filming for the third season of The Night Agent started in late 2024 in Istanbul. The actors and production team took some time off for the December holidays and resumed filming in February of this year.

What is The Night Agent 2 about?
If you haven’t seen the second season, which is already available on Netflix, here’s a summary of what it’s about.
The second season of The Night Agent picks up the story of Peter Sutherland nine months after the intense events at the end of the first season.
After dismantling a terrorist conspiracy at the White House and saving President Michelle Travers, Peter receives an offer to join the exclusive Night Action Agents group. He accepts the challenge, but his new role in this secret presidential program immerses him in a world full of risks, where trusting anyone is a luxury he cannot afford.
The plot begins with Peter on his first major mission in Thailand. This time, he’s not accompanied by Rose Larkin, but by Alice, his mentor and partner in Night Action. Together, they pose as a honeymooning couple in Bangkok while tracking a U.S. intelligence officer suspected of leaking confidential information.
The mission soon becomes complicated when Peter is ambushed by an armed group, forcing him to flee to save his life. However, this is just the beginning of a series of challenges that include uncovering a conspiracy within Night Action and preventing experimental weapons from falling into the wrong hands and threatening the security of the United States.
Faced with increasingly dangerous circumstances, Peter begins to distrust even those around him. Despite his reluctance, he will have to trust Rose again, as her help will be key to surviving and protecting his country from a new threat.
