Saweetie is shutting down any notion that she’s creeping around with 21 Savage – or has beef with Latto.

While it’s never been confirmed, Latto and 21 have been rumored to be an item for some years now. Earlier this month, however, social media began speculating that the “A Lot” rapper was creeping with Saweetie, as they both were in Dubai at the same time.

She then did an interview with social media channel Mystery Fashionist on Saturday (December 7) where she referred to herself as “Big Mama,” which one fan took to be extra shade thrown Latto’s way. The Icy Girl says that’s certainly not the case, though.

“Messy starting like that w all the 21 cheating on Latto w her speculations,” the fan wrote, to which Saweetie responded by using a lyric from Latto’s most recent song.

“literally never met him. Go get some money & get off the internet. BROKEYYYYYY.”

Earlier this year, 21 Savage got a new tattoo behind his ear in the same spot as Latto and fans have been trying to decode its significance ever since, especially since it seems like more than a mere coincidence.

Many are speculating that the “redrum” hitmaker’s new ink says “Alyssa,” which is Latto’s real name. Furthermore, her tattoo in the same location says “Sheyaa,” which is 21 Savage’s birth name.

Rumors of the pair being an item have persisted since 2020, when both rappers posted an Instagram Story from the same tropical location. Latto was quick to deny they were an item, however, saying in an interview weeks later that they were merely performing at the same location.

“No,” she said when asked if there was anything romantic going on with the Savage Mode II rapper. “It’s videos on YouTube of me performing with him at the Palace, I think that was the Palace. Like it be real respect, you know what I’m saying?”

Months later, 21 Savage publicly praised Latto’s “no makeup” look on his Instagram Story – though it was quickly deleted.

“No makeup Dam u fine It’s only 1 way I can come bout you twin,” he captioned the Story featuring a photo of Latto shopping.

The pair continued to fuel rumors with Instagram posts and collaborating on Latto’s “Wheelie” track, and even DreamDoll added to the speculation with a bar referencing Latto and 21 on her 2021 single “Tryouts.”

“And Mulatto, yeah, that’s my little honey bun/Ask her how many times she came, she said 21, 21,” the Bronx native rapped.

However, 21 still denied having a “celebrity” girlfriend when asked in 2022.

“I’ve been hot for a long time. I don’t do all the antics and shit. I don’t got a celebrity girlfriend,” he said on ClubHouse. “I’m not finna be out everywhere. I’m not dropping music every other week. I’m not going on live talking about shit every other week.”

Latto has previously confirmed she’s had a boyfriend for over two years, but noted that she preferred to keep his identity under wraps.

“I don’t like to speak on it. I just don’t make it a public thing,” she revealed to Hollywood Unlocked‘s Jason Lee in 2022. “I feel like I have to expose so much of my life unwillingly and I don’t wanna expose it.”
