Nicki Minaj has taken issue with a claim that she shaded Beyoncé following her online attack on JAY-Z.

The drama began on Monday (September 23) when Nicki took to X (formerly Twitter) and ominously wrote: “Robot on timing” alongside a gif of Chucky giving the middle finger.

Some fans speculated that this was aimed at Beyoncé, who moments earlier had teased a new collaboration with Levi’s jeans.

Nicki quickly clapped back at the notion, though, commenting on a TikTok video that highlighted the curious timing of the two posts.

“This is an absolute lie,” she wrote.

It’s worth noting that despite her issues with Bey’s husband, Nicki has enjoyed a positive relationship with the former Destiny’s Child star over the years.

In addition to working together on “Feeling Myself” and “Flawless (Remix),” the pair have frequently praised each other in public.

The Young Money rapper made her feelings towards JAY-Z clear earlier this month after Kendrick Lamar was announced as the headliner of next year’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans.

Nicki was one of several figures who believed her label boss and NOLA native Lil Wayne should’ve been given the gig instead, and directed her anger at Hov in an explosive social media rant.

“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote on X.

She added: “Got everything in the world. Still spiteful & evil. Disgusting. Be happy Abeg. Go be fkng happy n!gg@!!!!!!!! In rap business. In women business. When you got the Politicians & the police you good tho. Plus dat ugly laughy taffy alien.”

JAY-Z has helped organize the Super Bowl halftime show since 2020 in his role as a live entertainment strategist for the NFL.

Jesse Collins, an executive producer of the annual spectacle, recently confirmed that Jay has the final say on who performs at the Super Bowl.

“It’s a decision that Jay makes,” he told Variety. “Since we’ve been on board with that show, he’s made it every year, and it’s been amazing. He’s always picked right!”
