Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, reportedly sent a series of distressing text messages just hours before his tragic death on October 16.
The singer, who was only 31, fell from the third floor of CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he had been staying. His post-mortem examination revealed that he died from multiple injuries and both internal and external bleeding caused by the fall. Following his death, police discovered substances in his hotel room along with damaged objects and furniture, as per the public prosecutor’s office.

Liam had been close to his friend Roger Nores, with whom he had traveled to Argentina. They were seen earlier in October at fellow One Direction member Niall Horan’s concert in the country.
While Liam stayed alone at the CasaSur Hotel, Roger lodged elsewhere. New documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Liam texted Roger on the morning of his death.

He had reportedly ordered four bottles of whiskey at 10pm the night before, followed by five more bottles at 6:36am the next day. At 9:32am on the day of the tragedy, Liam allegedly texted Roger asking: “Can you get 6 grams? ” – presumably referring to cocaine, reports the Mirror.
Reports suggest that the father-of-one was behaving “erratically” in the hours leading up to his death, with hotel staff reporting “an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol”.
Liam was reportedly acting out of sorts, “acting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop” before being escorted to his room. Panic ensued as a concerned hotel worker dialed 911, detailing fears for the singer’s safety due to his location in a room with a balcony: “I don’t know whether his life may be in danger. He is in a room with a balcony, and, well, we’re a little afraid,” said the employee on the transcript of the call obtained by authorities.
Tragically, not long after this call for help, a thunderous noise echoed in the courtyard—soon after, Liam’s body was discovered dead just after 5 in the afternoon. Initially, speculation arose around the possibility of suicide, but investigators have since dismissed this theory, suggesting that he may have been under heavy sedation or entirely unconscious when he fell.
New unsettling details have emerged hinting that Liam might have been trying to flee using the balcony, which led to his fatal plunge. He was found deceased alongside a bag, allegedly absent earlier when he was taken up to his room.
Intriguingly, a hotel patron on the second floor stumbled upon a leather bag stashed with pills, a Jack Daniel’s bottle, and a note addressed “for Liam” on their terrace.
In a twist, it appears the bag, now confirmed to belong to Liam, might have been intentionally lowered to the second-floor balcony amid a calamitous escape attempt. Compounding the tragedy, authorities have charged three individuals in connection to the untimely demise of Liam.
