Cardi B is determined to let her fans know that her breakup with Offset is the real deal, and has said that people thinking otherwise need to check themselves.
During a recent live session on social media, Bardi attempted to shut down rumors that her breakup was a publicity stunt — rumors that started flying several days ago when it became known that the estranged couple are currently staying in the same house.
The “WAP” spitter denied using her breakup with Offset for PR, saying that it would damage Offset’s career, which would ultimately be bad for her, too.
“Do you really think that my baby dad is going to be like, ‘Yeah, do that. I’m gonna sacrifice my career that worked for so hard, for your your [stuff]?’” she asked. “No. Be real about yourself.”
“My kids’ school is $45,000 a year. And I already got two of them in the school. You think I pay that alone? Absolutely not. I don’t want my baby daddy to go broke or nothing, ’cause guess who help[s] over here? You can leave, but you gonna help with these muthafucking kids.”
Cardi also pointed out the double standard inherent in her being accused of staging a breakup for publicity, while the cheating rumors that dogged Offset throughout their relationship were never questioned in that way.
“Why is it when I separate myself and my baby father, it’s a publicity stunt; but every single time that the n-gga was doing him and y’all wanted to throw it in my face, it wasn’t a publicity stunt? Every single time that a new bitch would come around or a new rumor would come around, y’all be the first ones laughing and gagging. That wasn’t a publicity stunt. But when I leave, it is a publicity stunt… Y’all just mad that you can’t throw a n-gga’s [cheating] in my face anymore. That’s the issue.”

Earlier this week, Cardi also said that she would not be reconciling with her ex after she filed for divorce.
Speaking on X Spaces on Thursday (October 3), the Bronx bombshell explained that she and the former Migos rapper have broken up for good this time and she has no plans of getting back with her estranged husband.
Despite her firm stance, the mother of three acknowledged the harsh realities of going through a divorce, especially when it involves children.
“Slowly but surely, everybody gotta go their separate ways,” he said. “My kids gotta get used to, ‘No, you’re not going to come home every single day and your dad is gonna be here.’ It’s kinda hard. I don’t wanna talk about it ’cause I don’t wanna get emotional but it’s kinda hard.
“As an adult, you gonna get used to a certain type of lifestyle without being with somebody but it’s also kinda hard for your kids to get used to that. Your dad is not going to be here with you every day after school. Your dad is not going to be picking you up after school.”
