“Fugitivas: En busca de la libertad”, la nueva telenovela de TelevisaUnivision, promete cautivar a la audiencia con una intrigante y dramática historia de injusticia, amistad y supervivencia. “Fugitivas: En busca de la libertad” sigue la historia de Lorena Martínez, quien es injustamente condenada a 45 años en prisión por el asesinato de Juan Pablo, un hombre que la manipuló para encubrir sus infidelidades. Con un juicio amañado y pruebas falsas, Lorena es encarcelada, donde forma una complicada pero poderosa alianza con otras reclusas: Lissette, Frida y Montserrat. Juntas, logran planear una audaz fuga durante la noche de Año Nuevo con la ayuda de Martha Pineda, alias “La Superiora”.
Convertidas en las prófugas más buscadas del país, las mujeres enfrentan peligros mientras huyen, cambiando su apariencia y apoyándose mutuamente. Lorena, por su parte, lucha por probar su inocencia, con la ayuda de Alejandro Castillo, quien le da una nueva esperanza de libertad y justicia, mientras se enfrenta al fiscal Ismael Domínguez, un antiguo interés amoroso que la traicionó al creerla culpable.
