Three Charged With M*rder After F*tal Newcastle St*bbing That Claimed Life of 25-Year-Old Gino Robb

Three people, including boys aged 14 and 16, have been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 25-year-old Gino Robb in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The attack took place on Shields Road in Byker on the evening of June 16. Despite being rushed to hospital, Robb later died from his injuries, leading Northumbria Police to launch a major murder investigation.

Gino Robb Died Following the Attack

Emergency services were called to Shields Road after reports of a stabbing. Gino Robb, 25, was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead later that night.

Detectives said they continue to support his family and are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Several Arrests Were Made During the Investigation

Following the attack, police arrested a number of suspects. Initial arrests included two men aged 22 and 24 and a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder. Further enquiries led officers to make additional arrests in the Walker area.

A 33-year-old man, another 16-year-old boy, and later a 14-year-old boy were also detained as investigators pieced together the events leading up to the stabbing.

Two Teenagers and a 33-Year-Old Man Have Been Charged

Police have charged Jed Grieve, 33, along with two boys aged 14 and 16, with murder. Due to legal restrictions, the identities of the two youths cannot be revealed.

All three have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on June 22.

Detective Chief Inspector Atherton said officers remain committed to finding answers for Gino Robb’s family and that the investigation is continuing.

Detectives Seek Information About Electric Motorbike

Investigators are appealing for information about two people riding an electric motorbike that was seen entering Shields Road from Grace Street shortly before the stabbing.

Police are asking anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage, or mobile phone recordings from the area to come forward, saying the information could prove crucial in helping establish exactly what happened.
