King Charles and Queen Camilla crack jokes with Ant and Dec at King’s Trust event

King Charles and Queen Camilla were seen cracking jokes with TV duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as they arrived at the 50th anniversary event for the King’s Trust

The King was seen roaring with laughter alongside Queen Camilla. Charles was pictured with telly starts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on the red carpet at The Royal Albert Hall.

The King remarked it had been a “long time” since he had last seen Ant and Dec, remarking that they did not look a day older.
McPartlin, 50, replied that he had “a lot of makeup on”.

A whole host of famous faces stepped into the venue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Charles’ charity, The King’s Trust, formerly known as The Prince’s Trust. Upon arrival, Charles and Camilla spoke to celebrities including British actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba, and Hollywood star George Clooney and his lawyer wife Amal.

In the line-up ahead of the celebration for the 50th anniversary of the King’s Trust, Charles and Camilla also met some of the young people who will be receiving awards this evening before taking their seats for the celebration to begin. As His Majesty met with those involved in the night, Sir Rod Stewart took a swipe at President Donald J Trump following the recent State Visit to Washington.

The singer said: “May I say, well done in the Americas. You were superb, absolutely superb, put that little ratbag in his place.” As Charles arrived in the royal box, he was greeted by a rendition of the national anthem by Ruby Turner, with the audience joining in.
