Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube sued for $1.3 million in fraud lawsuit

A hefty lawsuit has been filed against Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. The two rappers have been accused of refusing to return $1.3 million.

Westside Merchandising LLC initially sued them for breach of contract, fraud, conversion and other claims in November 2024.

According to Us Weekly, the company alleged that it signed a deal with the rappers in 2022 to become the exclusive provider for Mount Westmore merchandise.

Mount Westmore are a supergroup consisting of Snoop, Cube, E-40, and Too $hort. They released their debut album, Snoop Cube 40 $hort, in 2022, and reached number 188 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Westside Merchandising said it gave them advances and royalties after being told their merch would be sold to fans across 60 tour dates.

Documents read, “[Westside Merchandising] was also assured that Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, both of whom were defined as key men under the [agreement], would publicise and promote the agreement by producing a promotional video to be posted on [Mount Westmore’s] social media accounts and by appearing at a retail location of Westside’s choice. None of this happened.”

The company claims it paid them $1.375 million following the contract, but said the rappers went back on their obligations. The lawsuit added that Mount Westmore didn’t perform the 60 concerts as promised.

In August, Snoop and Cube filed court documents asking a judge to rule that they wouldn’t have to appear in court in October.

Their lawyers said the request was “harassing, oppressive, and burdensome for these high-profile individuals who keep busy schedules with firm commitments.”

Attorneys claimed that the pair didn’t have anything “substantive” to say in terms of details about the court battle.
