White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt took to social media to share a photo of herself whispering to US President Donald Trump – but her move backfired spectacularly

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has come under fire after sharing a photo on her Instagram account that shows her in conversation with Donald Trump.

In the picture, which she captioned “us”, Leavitt is seen in a White House hallway with the President. It appears she is whispering something to him as she is leaning towards him.

However, the reaction to her post might not have been what she anticipated. After she posted it, a flurry of people took to the comments section to berate her, including one individual who chastised the Trump administration for contemplating assistance to Israel in its dispute with Iran.

They commented, “Discussing how you’re going to lie about his new illegal war with Iran to defend a foreign country? ?”.

Others accused her and the Trump administration of deceiving the American public. One commenter said, “Getting your lies straight? Bless your heart naive child.”, reports the Irish Star.

Another chimed in, “Discussing how many lies you are going to tell at the next press briefing?” A third added, “Do you hear the lies that are coming out of your mouth. You will held accountable for it all.

Some commenters criticized the Trump administration ability to run the country. One remarked, “Disgraceful that you blame everything on the Biden administration. Your whataboutism is all you ever spout.”

Another person vented: “Two pathetic mouth pieces! ! ! Spreading hateful rhetoric and dividing their own people! ! ! Why would you want that in your own country? Why are they so rude? Why do they want people to suffer? Why? What happened to the good ol’ USA? Anyone?.”

One commenter brought attention to allegations regarding Leavitt’s financial woes, pointing out: “Don’t let this distract you from the fact that she owes more than $300k of unpaid debt from her failed congressional run.”

Rumors about Leavitt’s personal life also surfaced with speculations that the 27 year old might be setting her sights beyond her marriage with 59 year old real estate mogul Nicholas Riccio. The gossip stated: “Her husband should watch out, she found an even older man she wants!”.

In recent news, Leavitt called on Americans to put unwavering trust in President Trump amidst increasing tensions with Iran. These statements followed an announcement from the White House that the President will deliberate for two weeks before deciding on potential military strikes against Iran, also hinting at the chance for renewed talks with Tehran.

When questioned by a journalist regarding her advice to steadfast Trump loyalists who backed him to “stop the wars,” Leavitt encouraged them to maintain their trust.

“Trust in president Trump. President Trump has incredible instincts and president Trump kept America and the world safe in his first term as president in implementing a peace through strength foreign policy agenda,” Leavitt said.

She added: “And with respect to Iran, nobody should be surprised by the President’s position that Iran absolutely cannot obtain. A nuclear weapon. He’s been unequivocally clear about this for decades, not just as president, not just as a presidential candidate, but also as a private citizen.”
