King Charles ‘makes major decision over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’ ahead of tour

King Charles is believed to have come to a conclusion over Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, just weeks before they head to Australia for a ‘faux royal tour’

King Charles has reportedly made a decision on Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The royal couple will be heading to Australia in just a few weeks on what has been dubbed a “faux royal tour”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world in January 2020 when they announced that they were stepping down as senior working royals. At the time, Harry and Meghan explained that they were planning to carve out a more financially independent life away from the House of Windsor.

They also stated that they hoped to continue supporting his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and to represent the Commonwealth and the realms. However, this didn’t materialise, and instead of being part-time working royals, they agreed with the Queen’s blessing to take a complete step back.

However, since stepping down and moving to California, Meghan and Harry have been criticised for carrying out what appear to be royal tours – albeit without any official royal duties. Now, royal expert Ingrid Seward has claimed that the King has come to a conclusion about his son and daughter-in-law.

Ingrid told TalkTV: “I think they are lucky they were in the Middle East a few weeks ago and they are not there now. They are obviously trying to promote themselves, and they need to keep a high profile in order to make money.

“He’s [Charles] got plenty of other things to worry about. They do what they like up to a point. I think he has got more important things to worry about than what Harry and Meghan are doing at this moment.”

The past few months have proven to be quite turbulent for the King, and indeed the House of Windsor. For the first time in centuries, Charles’ brother, the man formerly known as Prince Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested on his 66th birthday last month.

Police arrested Mountbatten-Windsor at his home on the Sandringham Estate on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew’s friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein also saw him stripped of all royal titles – including his birthright title of Prince.

At the time of Andrew’s arrest, Charles issued an unprecedented statement, saying: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”

And on Commonwealth Day last week, as senior members of The Firm attended a service at Westminster Abbey, Charles was greeted by protests from an anti-monarchy group, Republic. The group held up signs reading: “Charles, what did you know?” Both Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, have been repeatedly heckled while out on royal engagements following Andrew’s arrest.
