For years, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! fans in the Republic of Ireland have voiced frustration over one long-standing issue — they are unable to vote in the show. And now, following her surprise elimination, Vogue Williams has suggested that very rule worked against her.

After becoming the third contestant to be booted off the ITV reality series, the Irish presenter admitted that the voting ban placed her at a clear disadvantage.

Vogue, 40, revealed she had many friends and family who were unable to vote for her on the show because they live in the Republic of IrelandVogue, 40, revealed she had many friends and family who were unable to vote for her on the show because they live in the Republic of Ireland

Speaking after her exit, Vogue, 40, said:
“I don’t think it was helpful that Ireland couldn’t vote.”

She explained that her main goal entering the jungle was simply to enjoy the experience and go as far as she could in what she described as an “epic” and “brilliant” show. However, she later acknowledged that the lack of Irish voting support may have affected her journey.

“If Ireland had been able to vote, it probably would have been slightly better for me,” she admitted. “There were loads of family and friends who couldn’t vote for me because they live over there.”

When asked whether she found that frustrating, Vogue replied honestly:
“Yeah — because I know they would have wanted to.”

Vogue’s comments have reignited a long-running debate surrounding the voting system. Last year, the issue sparked strong backlash when two contestants from the Republic of Ireland — Maura Higgins and Barry McGuigan — were both eliminated earlier than expected.

At the time, one furious viewer wrote online:
“This is outrageous — we can’t vote. They take six of our counties and two of our contestants.”

It was widely believed that both Maura, 35, and Barry, 64, could have progressed much further had Irish audiences been allowed to participate. Instead, both placed seventh after a double elimination.

Elsewhere in her post-jungle reflections, Vogue also opened up candidly about her struggles with anxiety during her time in camp.

The mother-of-three, who shares Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, two, with husband Spencer Matthews, revealed that anxiety often crept in while she was in the jungle.

“My anxiety cropped up quite a lot,” she said. “It’s something I manage all the time, but it’s obviously harder to control when you’re outside your comfort zone.”

Vogue explained that exercise became her main coping mechanism, adding:
“I like working out — it’s really good for my head. I try to manage my sleep a lot too, even though I’m very odd about sleep.”

Reflecting on one of her most uncomfortable Bushtucker Trials — where she had to eat an entire pig’s brain — Vogue admitted it followed a particularly difficult day mentally.

“I’d had a really bad day with anxiety the day before,” she said. “So I knew it was either eat that pig’s brain or have another anxious night. I just needed to get myself back on track.”

Vogue also shared how deeply she struggled with missing her young children during her time in camp. Meanwhile, her husband Spencer is currently in Antarctica, completing the final leg of his extreme challenge to run seven Iron Mans across seven continents.

Following her exit, Vogue was pictured relaxing at a luxury Australian hotel where the families and partners of the ITV cast are staying. However, fans quickly noticed that her knee remains heavily bandaged.

Concern had been growing among viewers after a plaster was spotted on her leg during Monday’s episode. Social media quickly filled with worried messages such as:
“What the hell did Vogue do to her knee?”
“Is Vogue aware her knee looks really sore?”
“What happened to Vogue’s knee?”

Despite the pain, Vogue was later seen looking chic in a pale blue linen co-ord and gold jewellery beside the pool — her injury still clearly visible as she enjoys some well-earned rest after her jungle ordeal.
