Anguished family members flee court over sick details of Gilgo Beach murderer’s kill room

A family member of a victim of Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann fled court today after hearing graphic details of his murder plots.

A member of the public gallery shouted ‘I can’t’ before rushing out of court after the state went over the horrific details laid out in his grisly murder ‘planning document,’ including a pictures inside his basement where victims were tortured.

The depraved killer broke his silence in court today before being handed seven life sentences for murdering eight sex workers on Long Island between 1993 and 2010.

Heuermann stood and simply said ‘I am responsible for all that was said in this room. The words I say will have no meaning,’ before sitting back in his chair. He claimed he was sorry before victim’s family members shouted ‘no you’re not!’ and the killer was swiftly escorted away.

Cheers of ‘ogre!’ were heard as he was taken away from the courtroom, with one woman shouting: ‘I hope they r*** you in the a** and kill you.’

The 62-year-old architect will spend the rest of his life behind bars after he pleaded guilty to the murders of Sandra Costilla, 28, Valerie Mack, 24, Jessica Taylor, 20, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25, Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, and Amber Costello, 27, in April.

He also admitted to the 1996 murder of an eighth victim, Karen Vergata, 34, for which he has never been charged.

The killer will serve three life sentences without parole, as well as four with parole, all to be served consecutively.
