rab your best fascinator or top hat, Royal Ascot has officially begun. Over in England, Prince William and Princess Catherine headed several miles west of London to make their grand arrival at the esteemed racecourse. And if their smiles were any indication, the day was a cheerful one.

Showing up for day two of the festivities, the couple dressed in their best summer occasion-wear—coordinating with a bold yellow hue. The princess led the color choice with her custom marigold Roksanda dress, a vibrant ankle-length piece based on the label’s Brigitte design. The short-sleeve design was crafted with a wide neckline, slightly structured shoulders, and an asymmetrical tuck detail at the collarbone. She was first seen in it back in 2022, when she wore it to arrive in Jamaica during a royal tour, and took it out of her closet once more for the Wimbledon women’s singles final later that summer. For her third time in the dress, she added a wide-brimmed saucer hat in the same shade, covered with matching netting.

As for her husband, William added a yellow freesia boutonniere to his otherwise muted look, pinning the flower to his dark-gray suit jacket to break up the tonal dressing. The sunny accent, a symbol of joy, trust, and friendship, seemed to be contagious in its spirit—with the wearer and his wife captured in high spirits all day long, from arriving during the royal procession to chatting with fellow guests.
