Young Child Vanished While Playing Near His Mother

A frantic police search has been launched after a four-year-old boy was reportedly abducted while playing in a West Midlands park just yards from his mother.

The alarming incident unfolded shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday at Haden Hill Park in Cradley Heath. The child had been playing near the park’s fish pond while his mother was tending to a baby nearby.

Within moments, the youngster had disappeared.

Panic as Child Was Missing for Several Minutes

The disappearance triggered immediate panic as family members and others nearby realized the boy had vanished.

An alarm was raised, and a search began.

Thankfully, the child was discovered several minutes later in nearby woodland. Authorities have not revealed what happened during the time he was missing, but specially-trained officers are now supporting the boy and his family.

Police Release Description of Suspect

West Midlands Police have launched an urgent investigation and released a description of the suspect.

He is described as a black male in his late teens, short in height, with curled hair and a clean-shaven face. He was reportedly wearing black clothing.

Detectives are examining CCTV footage and carrying out extensive inquiries to establish exactly what happened.

Appeal for Witnesses and Mobile Phone Footage

Investigators are urging anyone who was in Haden Hill Park at the time of the incident to come forward.

Police are particularly keen to speak to people who may have recorded videos or photographs on their phones, believing that crucial evidence may have been captured without anyone realizing it.

Additional officers will remain in the area over the coming days to reassure residents.

Police Say Incident Appears Isolated

In a statement, West Midlands Police said they believe the abduction was an isolated incident but acknowledged the concern it has caused throughout the community.
