Shocking reason for plane crash in India revealed

A defect in both engines is suspected as the main cause of the air tragedy that occurred last week in India, where an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed minutes after takeoff, killing at least 270 people.
The plane, which had taken off from the city of Ahmedabad bound for London, crashed into a medical college building, causing huge flames that engulfed the building and the plane. Experts from India’s Air Accidents Investigation Bureau are investigating the incident with the support of teams from the US, Britain and the Boeing company itself.
According to initial reports obtained by the Wall Street Journal, investigators are examining the possibility that the plane operated with an emergency power system, known as a “ram air turbine,” during takeoff, signaling that the engines may not have been working normally. According to the data, the pilots had only 17 seconds to react after both engines lost power at an altitude of just 120 meters, writes A2 CNN.
A new high-quality video released this week reinforces the theory of a double engine failure, according to pilot and analyst Steve Schreiber, who calls the evidence a “turning point” in unraveling the causes of the accident.
Authorities have confirmed that the pilots made an emergency “mayday” call before the crash. The investigation is also focusing on data from the black boxes, the plane’s cargo, pilot training and the technical condition of the aircraft. A special commission is expected to issue a preliminary report within three months.
