Savannah Guthrie Visited ‘Today’ Set

Guthrie returned to the set of her beloved show on Thursday, March 5, where she was embraced by the cast and crew.

“It was what we all needed,” Dreyer said of Guthrie’s visit to the “Today” set. “It was exactly what we needed to just hug her, pray for her. I mean, it was amazing.”

Dreyer added, “I think she needed us as much as we needed to see her. You know, she wants to go back to life and doesn’t know how to do it. To just kind of show up, get the hugs from us, hear from us, see us face to face, I think it was important for all of us.”

Shortly after Guthrie was seen mingling with her dearest friends, her longtime co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones got emotional on-air.

“Savannah has come back to her home here at 30 Rock, studio 1A. We got to see her this morning and in her perfect way she talked to all of us, hugged every single person in this room,” Bush Hager said through tears at the start of Thursday’s “Jenna and Sheinelle.”

She continued, “She said that, you know, she has every intention to return to the show. Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it’s also her home and where she feels so loved. And she is beyond loved here. We are happy that she is home. I don’t know when she’s actually returning to the show. But she was here, and that felt so good to get to hug her.”

Search for Nancy Guthrie Continues

Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah, has been missing since February 1. She was last seen on January 31 during a family dinner at her daughter Annie Guthrie’s home.

According to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, Guthrie was taken from her home against her will in the early morning hours of February 1. While she has not been seen since, investigators are asking the public for help in finding a masked, armed male seen in footage uncovered from Guthrie’s front doorbell camera on the night of her disappearance.

While the Today show has historically been a source of lighthearted morning comfort, the gravity of this situation has reshaped the broadcast into a support system for one of its most beloved figures. Legal experts note that the public release of the masked suspect’s footage is a critical move designed to shake loose new information before the case grows cold. As Savannah’s colleagues continue to fill the gaps in her absence, their message remains clear: the door to her professional “home” is always open, and the global #FindNancy movement shows no signs of waning until the 84-year-old is safely returned to her family in Tucson.
