Prince Harry ‘in turmoil’ over Andrew’s arrest as Sussexes make badly timed announcement

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a big announcement not long after Andrew’s arrest.

Prince Harry is in “turmoil” as a result of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest, a PR expert has claimed. The Duke of Sussex has not commented on the controversy surrounding his disgraced uncle, who is currently under investigation after being arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office. However, one expert believes that, like the rest of the Royal Family, Harry has been impacted.

While Harry quit royal life six years ago and moved to Montecito, where he lives with his wife, Meghan Markle and their two children, he is still a member of the Royal Family. This means that, while he may not comment on matters back in the UK, they are likely to impact him.

This could especially be the case for Harry with his uncle, as the Duke of Sussex is set to go on a tour in Australia next month, where he could, like other members of the Royal Family, be confronted about Andrew.

Speaking to New magazine, PR expert and talent manager Dermot McNamara said that while the announcement of the trip to Australia came at a bad time, just weeks after Andrew’s arrest, Harry shouldn’t put his life on hold because of the situation.

McNamara said: “The Royal Family is in turmoil, and as a member of that family, so too is Harry.

“Yes, they (Harry and Meghan) might be accused of bad timing with the Australia trip, but just because his other family members are embroiled in a scandal, why should Harry put his life on hold?”

Harry and Meghan are set to visit Australia in mid-April, where they will carry out a number of engagements.

It will be the first time they have returned to the country since their royal tour in 2018 after their wedding.

It is not known whether Harry and Meghan will receive a good reception in Australia, especially as they are no longer working royals.

It is also not known if they will be confronted about Andrew the way other members of the Royal Family have been whilst carrying out engagements.

Andrew has always denied any accusations and wrongdoing.
