Catherine, Princess of Wales, will not attend the 2025 Earthshot Prize ceremony in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 5, due to her commitment to prioritizing her role as a mother. According to reports, she and Prince William adhere to a private rule ensuring that at least one parent remains at home with their children—Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7)—to manage daily responsibilities such as school drop-offs and pick-ups. This decision reflects their consistent approach to balancing royal duties with family life. Kate has not attended the Earthshot Prize in person since 2022 in Boston, including missing the 2024 event in Cape Town, South Africa, to stay at their Windsor home with the children.

The Duchess of Cambridge has arrived on the green carpet at Alexandra Palace with Prince William. Kate is wearing the same McQueen dress she wore to the BAFTA event in LA in 2011.

The couple were seen talking to Jason Knauf, chief executive of their Royal Foundation, on the green carpet.

Royal fans took to Twitter to beam over Kate and Prince William’s outfit choices for the award ceremony.

No guests flew into London to attend the ceremony.

Prince William and Kate ‘accept’ the role they have says expert

Clara Amfo, co-presenter of the awards spoke about Prince William’s acting skills.

Ms Amfo said: “He has been really great company and I am sure you saw our advert and he was quite the actor.

“We took a few takes and he took considerably less.”

Prince William’s velvet blazer was also hailed by royals fans on social media.
