Speculation of what school the future king will attend has been swirling since Christmas
The Prince and Princess of Wales are thought to have chosen Eton College for Prince George’s senior school education beginning in September 2026, according to a well-placed source.
After months of speculation about where the young prince would continue his studies, an insider has revealed that “all roads lead to Eton” following the royal couple’s extensive search.
The 11-year-old prince, who currently attends Lambrook School in Berkshire alongside his siblings, will follow in his father’s footsteps at the prestigious institution.
The decision comes after William and Kate visited several top schools, with Eton and Marlborough College emerging as the leading contenders.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are thought to have deiced to send Prince George to Eton.
The royal couple were seen touring various prestigious schools in recent months, with particular attention paid to Marlborough College, where the Princess of Wales thrived during her own education.
The co-educational nature of Marlborough would have allowed Princess Charlotte to join her elder brother, presenting a compelling option for keeping the siblings together.
Despite Kate’s positive experience at Marlborough, the proximity of Eton to the family’s Windsor home appears to have been a significant factor in their decision.
Prince William’s own history at Eton, where he studied before university, likely influenced the choice for his eldest son’s education.

George is set to follow in the footsteps of his father by attending the prestigious school.
The annual fees at Eton exceed £63,000, making it one of Britain’s most expensive schools.
Sources close to the institution have noted a certain “smugness” emerging from Eton regarding the impending announcement, the Daily Mail reported.
“It was like, ‘I know something and the people at Eton know something, but I’m not going to tell you’. That was after William and Kate visited Eton,” revealed an insider.
The prestigious Berkshire school’s confidence about securing the future King suggests the decision has been finalised, though no official announcement has been made.

Speculation of what school George would attend had swirled as Kate and William investigated multiple institutions.
The apparent decision comes as royal watcher eyebrows were raised over Princess Kate’s recent tour Highgate School in north London.
Her lengthy visit, just after Christmas, sparked speculation that the that the £31,000-a-year establishment may have been the choice for George.
Kate spent considerable time during the tour with teachers, particularly focusing on the drama department.

King Charles was a keen actor during his time at Cambridge.
A source told the Mail that The Princess of Wales “spent quite a long time talking to two of the teachers there, including the Head of Drama.”
They revealed that she had made inquired about the“drama curriculum and extracurricular activities and what opportunities there might be for appearing in school plays”.
The school’s “genuinely world-class” drama department maintains a strong focus on Shakespeare and is seen as an avenue into the legendary Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
While studying at Cambridge, George’s grandfather King Charles enjoyed acting alongside his academic commitments.
The King was a member of the Dryden Society, Trinity College’s drama group, during his time reading Archaeology and Anthropology.
