The move made by Charlotte is often made by Princess Kate
Princess Charlotte’s sweet gesture to her older brother, Prince George, has been picked out by fans during the royal walkabout.
The duo, alongside Prince Louis, stepped out with their parents and other royals for the Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham.
One moment which almost went unnoticed was Charlotte putting her arm around her big brother’s back, lightly tapping it in a subtle moment of reassurance.
The move is often made by her mother, Princess Kate, with Prince William when the couple are out in public.

Another wrote: “Mimicking her mum with William.”
Charlotte paused to take photographs with admirers who had gathered outside St Mary Magdalene Church.
She was carrying an armful of gifts as she made her way along the line of well-wishers.

Video footage shared on social media captured the young royal agreeing to pose for a selfie when asked by a member of the public.
“Can we have a photo with you?” one fan enquired, to which Charlotte responded: “Yes,” before moving closer for the picture.
The moment quickly spread across social platforms, with the princess seen shaking hands and offering festive greetings to those who had turned out to see the royals.
Her willingness to engage with the public meant Charlotte fell behind the rest of her family, prompting her father to call out to her.

“Charlotte,” Prince William said as he walked ahead with George and Louis.
The young princess offered a courteous response to her father’s call out, replying: “I’m coming,” before smiling for another photograph.
The Royal Family has adopted a more relaxed approach to selfies in recent years, with members now occasionally agreeing to pose when members of the public make requests.
Charlotte’s behaviour mirrored that of her mother, who also took considerable time greeting the assembled crowd following the church service.

The Princess of Wales lagged behind slightly at the end, shaking hands with as many fans as possible.
Onlookers drew comparisons between Charlotte and both her mother and late grandmother as she worked the crowd with apparent ease.
“Look at her. She’s a Princess Di in the making,” one admirer remarked as the young royal shook hands and introduced herself to those gathered.
The 10-year-old was not the only Wales child to capture attention during the festive walkabout, however.
Prince Louis provided a moment of mischief when he grabbed a large Lindor chocolate egg that had been handed to his father by a fan, prompting William to laugh at his youngest son’s antics.
