Amanda Owen concedes “life goes on” as she discusses her separation from former husband Clive. The pair announced their split in 2022, after a 22-year marriage.
Despite parting ways, the ex-couple have remained good friends and continue to manage the remote Ravenseat Farm, in Swaledale, Yorkshire together, along with their nine children. However, Amanda acknowledges that the “dynamics are forever changing” within their family. In conversation with The Sun, she stated: “Life goes on, relationships come and go.

“Sometimes you’re lucky and you stay with the same person for all of your life, and sometimes that doesn’t happen. But I have no regrets.”
The star of Our Yorkshire Farm embarked on a relationship with web designer Robert Davies following her split from Clive. However, she confirmed their break up in 2024, revealing they were no longer in contact.
Discussing the collapse of her marriage, she previously told The Mirror: “Clive never liked me being away from the farm, and that led to arguments.
“I would return home not knowing what to expect or what his reaction would be. I’d feel the tension in the air and await the explosion.”

She reveals that her decision to end their marriage came after spending time apart from Clive during lockdown. This period allowed her to focus more on her writing and reassess her life, confessing she felt more at ease when alone.
Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, the newest instalment chronicling the family’s adventures, will document their restoration of the centuries-old ramshackle barn adjacent to their home.
Amanda reveals viewers will witness the “exciting” transformation as the barn, christened Anty John, evolves from a crumbling structure into a prospective dwelling.
She added: “To see where we’ve got to now from where we began, it’s amazing. From not even having a roof to now be able to basically shut all the doors, it’s incredible.”

Amanda recently hinted at the farm’s comeback on social media, posting: “I almost forgot to remind you all that Our Farm Next Door is coming back for a new series. It will be on More4 soon, I know that is a bit vague for you but that is the best I can do.”
She continued: “In the next couple of weeks you will be able to catch up with what is going on on the farm, what the children have been up to and how the house renovation is coming on so more information will follow.”
Channel 4 has since confirmed the programme will air at 9pm on More4 from 19 January. The upcoming instalments represent the show’s third and fourth series, filmed between May and December 2025, capturing Yorkshire’s diverse seasonal conditions throughout.
