They once had a sweet bond
rince William once shared a sweet moment with his uncle, Andrew, that highlighted their once close relationship.
The moment has resurfaced in the days since Andrew was stripped of his titles amid ongoing controversy surrounding his association with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew also faced sexual assault allegations, which he has always vehemently denied. Virginia Giuffre alleged she was made to sleep with Andrew in the early 2000s when she was 17, after being trafficked by Epstein.

Prince William’s sweet moment with Prince Andrew at royal wedding
Back in July 1986, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London.
The royals attended the big day, including a four-year-old Prince William.
In footage from the big day – seen here – as the newlywed couple arrived back at Buckingham Palace, a young William threw himself into his uncle’s arms. They then shared a sweet hug.
Fast forward 39 years, and it’s a complete contrast to their most recent public appearance together at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral.
William was filmed barely even acknowledging his uncle as the royal tried to chat to his nephew while standing outside Westminster Cathedral on September 16.

William ‘pushed king to have firmer stance with Andrew’
Relations between William and the former Duke of York have reportedly become strained over time.
William has reportedly felt unhappy with his uncle for a while amid claims Andrew was “rude” to Kate Middleton.
Royal author Andrew Lownie made the claims in his recent book about Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah, called Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.
Speaking in September, he also claimed that William was keen for his father to take a firmer stance with Andrew.
“William, as future king, will have to deal with the fallout from this,” Lownie told Vanity Fair.
“He wants this problem solved and has no sentimental attachment to Andrew. He has no time for Andrew.”

Andrew won’t leave the Royal Lodge for ‘months’
As well as having his titles stripped last week, the palace announced that Andrew would move out of his 30-room Windsor home, Royal Lodge.
Andrew signed a 75-year lease on the property in 2003; however, he will reportedly move to a property on the Sandringham Estate following this latest blow.
However, Andrew won’t be moving out until early 2026, reports claim.
According to The Telegraph, the king doesn’t want a crossover between Andrew and the royal family’s Christmas celebrations, which take place at the estate each year.
Despite his the move, Andrew reportedly feels “sanguine” about the situation.
Sandringham also holds some special significance for the former prince, as it became one of his parents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s “happiest” homes.
Therefore, like his siblings, Andrew reportedly has “great affection” for the estate.
