Peter Phillip’s first words to new wife Harriet revealed by lip reader

The royal couple married last weekend.

Peter Phillips married his second wife, Harriet, in a private ceremony in the Cotwolds last weekend, and the Royal Family were present for the joyous occasion. Princess Anne’s son beamed as he exited All Saints Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, with his new wife looking radiant next to him.

The newlyweds were joined by senior members of the Royal Family, including King Charles and Queen Camila, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Zara and Mike Tindall with their daughters Mia and Lena, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their son James, Earl of Wessex. Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, as well as Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice and their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, were also in attendance.

As the couple left the church, braving the pouring rain, they posed for photographs as newlyweds.

Now, a lip expert has given their insight into what was said.

Lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling analysed the moment and claimed Peter took care to protect his new bride from the downpour, before Harriet sweetly suggested that the pair should kiss as they posed for the cameras

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Ms Hickling said Peter told the staffer ahead of him: “Grab hold of that [the umbrella], so we can get through. You can pass it back because we’re getting wet through.

“Come, you need to give it back, we are getting drenched.”

The groom then said to his bride: “Let’ s do several quick movements for them – now this side.”

“It’s getting heavy, my arm is aching.”

Harriet then told him, “I think they’d like us to kiss.”

The bride wore a dress by Emilia Wickstead, earrings by Pragnell, the Pragnell family tiara, and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Her bridal bouquet, created by florist Millie Richardson, included sweet peas, myrtle – a tradition in Ms Sperling’s family and for the royal family – and lily of the valley.

She was walked down the aisle by her brother Nicholas Sanders, in honour of their late father Rupert Sanders.

Her mother, Mary, was at the Church with her sisters, Rebecca and Louisa.

The bridesmaids’ dresses were also designed by Emilia Wickstead, with the girls wearing earrings from Aspinal London.
