The couple visited Long Meadow Cider in Northern Ireland
rince William left his wife, Kate Middleton, in hysterics as they tried making a recipe during a trip to Northern Ireland this week.
On Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Long Meadow Cider, a family-run apple farm in County Armagh. It came after they paid a visit to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service Learning and Development College in County Tyrone.
At Long Meadow Cider, William and Kate, both 43, were given the opportunity to show off their baking skills. And let’s just say, the Prince of Wales had a bit of a struggle!

As they got stuck into making potato apple bread, the pair were seen donning aprons and rolling out the dough.
However, poor Wills struggled rolling the dough into a circle. Poking fun at his wife, William told Kate: “Do keep up.”
Now you tell me! If you look this way it looks like a circle. A rectangle circle.
One staff member told William: “Try and keep it into a circle.”
William replied: “A circle?” as Kate burst into laughter.
The prince added, laughing: “Now you tell me! If you look this way it looks like a circle. A rectangle circle. This is a new variety!”

‘A great sense of humour’
Kate, on the other hand, had managed to roll her dough into a perfect circle.
A confused William said: “How does that look like a circle, when this is a rectangle?”
William then dropped the rolling pin, and started using his hands to mould the dough into a more rounded shape.
Royal fans loved seeing the humour between the Prince and Princess of Wales. One person gushed on Instagram: “They’re both so fabulous, a great sense of humour.”
Another quipped: “I’m with you William not enough space to make a round one.”
Meanwhile, someone else pointed out: “I love it that Catherine just keeps going… she obviously has real life kitchen experience.”

William and Kate’s visit to apple farm
Elsewhere, Prince William and Kate observed the apple cider vinegar production process.
They were shown an apple pressing machine, and enjoyed a sample of the farm’s apple juice.
Kate reportedly said during the visit: “We tried this at home with a hand press. It was quite good fun with the children. It was very messy.”
During the visit, the couple also took part in apple-picking.
The farm has been owned by the Mckeever family for three generations.
