Royal fans issue major complaint after Meghan Markle’s jam video

Meghan Markle shared a new video on social media over the weekend, but fans were left unimpressed with one thing. The Duchess of Sussex uploaded a new promotional clip for her brand, As Ever, on its official Instagram page. In the video, Meghan talks about her jam, and reveals which one is her family’s favourite. Each member of the Sussex family appears to have their own favourite jam, with Meghan saying: “Everyone in my family has a different favourite.

“My husband loves the raspberry, Lil loves the strawberry and Arch likes both. And I like the marmalade.” The Duchess, wearing a dark top and what appeared to be an apron, is seen spooning one of her jams into a bowl before the video cuts to her orange marmalade.

But fans appeared to be disappointed with the video’s sound quality and took to social media to express their views.

One user said on X: “Meghan Markle’s audio quality is horrifically bad and not even amateur, it’s worse than that.”

The same user, Royal News Network, who regularly comments on the Sussexes’ updates, added: “This woman is supposed to be a producer and can’t even get the audio right for a short Instagram video, which is both over produced and somehow under produced at the same time. It boggles the mind.”

Another one commented: “Sound quality is everything on social media. People are actually more likely to watch a video with bad image quality than they are to watch something with bad sound quality.”

third one added: “I could not understand what she said at the end, I had to put two and two together.”

A fourth one blasted: “I don’t even understand what she’s saying, she’s mumbling.”

A fifth wrote: “She’s mumbling really bad on this. Hard to understand her. Or maybe it is bad audio.”

As Ever’s new video is accompanied by the caption: “Inspired by the jams Meghan has created in her own kitchen and shared over the years, each spread reflects a small-batch, carefully balanced approach to flavour.
