Princess Kate made a surprise appearance alongside Prince William to welcome Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein to Windsor Castle this morning.
Earlier this week, Kensington Palace announced that the Prince of Wales and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II would undertake a joint engagement at RAF Benson.
The Palace did not mention the Princess of Wales in the initial press release; however, Kate stepped out alongside her husband to welcome the foreign royals.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are known to be friends with the Jordanian royals and the couples have been pictured together on multiple occasions.

These include No. 22 Squadron, which provides operational testing, evaluation, tactics and training for all aviation in the Joint Aviation Command and No. 28 (Army Cooperation) Squadron, which is the Chinook operational conversion unit.
The visit also comes as No. 22 Squadron celebrates its 110th anniversary.
