Prince William made an adorable remark about his wife, Princess Catherine, as he opened up about having a strong supportive figure in his life. William was in North Wales this week, helping highlight the difference young people are making in coastal communities.
One of his stops was at Youth Shedz at Mochdre, which co-creates safe spaces with young people who face adverse childhood experiences. While speaking to Youth Shedz founder Scott Jenkinson, Prince William found out that Scott’s wife, Sian, was a huge support through his challenges with homelessness and addiction.
Noting her support and in a nod to his own wife, in a sweet 10-word remark, William said: “This is it. Behind every average man there is an even better wife.”

Referring to the space, the Prince said: “This space is amazing. It is useful and such an important part of the community, having a space like this to go to.”
Prince William also met volunteers and spoke to the young people who had been involved in the Marine Conservation Society’s Hiraeth Yn Y Môr project this year, which brought together people from nearby coastal towns to increase knowledge of the ocean and improve the sustainable management of local marine heritage.
Later in the day, William also joined comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean, who co-founded a comedy school. He also spent time chatting to the aspiring comedians about their hopes pursuing a future in the arts in often remote rural and coastal regions.

William and Catherine have always held a strong connection to Wales. Prince William trained to become a helicopter pilot with the Royal Air Force’s Search and Rescue Force, graduating from the Search and Rescue Training Unit at RAF Valley, Anglesey, in 2010.
After the couple announced their engagement in 2010, they added they would continue to live in North Wales, where William worked as an air sea rescue pilot for the RAF. Catherine made her first official royal outing in Wales a few months later, in February 2011.
After the couple married in 2011, Wales was the setting for their life as newlyweds. They spent their first few months there after they welcomed Prince George.
