Eugenie is celebrating her 36th birthday today

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are concerned they will lose their royal titles as the fallout continues from the release of the Epstein files, according to a royal correspondent.
The US Department of Justice released over 3 million files relating to the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein earlier this year, in which it appears Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson feature prominently.
Andrew and Ms Ferguson voluntarily gave up use of their HRH titles last year, before King Charles sensationally stripped Andrew of his royal titles and ousted him from his home of 20 years, Royal Lodge.
The York sisters now appear worried a similar fate may befall them, as Former BBC royal correspondent, Jennie Bond, has claimed: “Both Eugenie and Beatrice must be feeling the heat of the headlines that are now turning on them.

“And so I doubt whether this birthday will be one she will particularly feel like celebrating in a big way.
“Both princesses seem to have decided that keeping a low profile for now is the best course of action, and I suspect that is how Eugenie will spend her birthday: out of public view and certainly not openly with either of her parents.”
The pair were invited to spend Christmas at Sandringham, as is tradition for the family. At the time, it appeared to be a message of support from King Charles; however, according to royal sources, the situation has altered in recent months.
A source told the Mirror: “The sisters are extremely unhappy. They feel they have been left out in the cold.
“They aren’t being supported by Buckingham Palace and are certainly concerned they will lose their titles and privileges as a result of their parents’ conduct.”
The sisters are not working royals, but they do maintain houses on royal estates, but Ms Bond believes it would be best for the sisters to put some distance between themselves and the Royal Family.

Personally, I think they would be wise to discuss whether they should give up their titles, step down from their charities and any public work and just get on with their lives as happily married women with children to look after and careers to pursue.
“That might just be easier all round,” she concluded to the Mirror.
The sisters have been going through a difficult period, with reports suggesting that Beatrice and her husband’s marriage was under strain, reports that were later slammed by friends.
A friend of Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi said: “The only thing Bea and Edo are navigating are their busy jobs and looking after their children!
“They’ve both had recent stints working abroad and like so many working parents, have balancing work with looking after the kids.”

“Things are great between them and the only distance between them recently has been physical distance because of work!”
