rince Harry and Meghan Markle’s little girl, Princess Lilibet, is growing up so fast! The young royal is turning five years old on Thursday 4 June, and she’s growing up to be her dad’s mini-me with the same distinct fiery red hair.
Unlike their royal cousins, Lilibet and her brother Prince Archie have grown up away from the spotlight in sunny Montecito, California. While Harry and Meghan tend to keep their family life on the down low, the young royals make the occasional cameo on their mother’s social media with their matching red locks and adorable American accents stealing the show.
Lilibet, whom Meghan recently revealed sweetly goes by ‘Lil’, has popped up on Instagram in the cutest ballerina-inspired outfits and sundresses over the years. Ahead of the young royal’s birthday celebrations, here are the most heartwarming photos of Lilibet from the private family album.

Lilibet was her “mama’s little helper” in an adorable snap shared by Meghan on 16 May. The four-year-old had her fiery red hair swept back in an adorable ponytail with a red bow while appearing in a mirror selfie taken inside Meghan’s wardrobe at their California abode.

Two princesses in one photo! The Sussexes spent a family day at Disneyland recently, and Lilibet shared a very wholesome moment with one of the iconic Disney stars.

For Valentine’s Day, Meghan shared an adorable photo of Lilibet looking like a mini ballerina in Harry’s arms – and their matching red hair is too cute for words.
The young royal had her hair out while holding a string of red Valentine’s balloons. “These two + Archie = my forever Valentines,” Meghan gushed.

Meghan is a proud mother to her little girl. The Duchess of Sussex marked International Day of the Girl last October with a motivational message to “all the girls”, including her then four-year-old.
“This world is yours,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of her and Lilibet sharing a wholesome mother-daughter moment together.
“Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other. We will do the same for you,” she added.
“It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ‘em girl!”
Harry’s mini-me
For her fourth birthday, Meghan shared a heartwarming insight into Lilibet’s close bond with her dad. Harry sweetly held his daughter’s hand while they spent a father-daughter day out in the sun together.
Lilibet looked adorable with her hair braided in two plaits beneath a visor. “The sweetest bond to watch unfold,” Meghan captioned the photo. “Daddy’s little girl and favourite adventurer.”

Meghan hugged her daughter tight in a black and white photo posted on Lilibet’s fourth birthday.

A then year-year-old Lilibet helped her mother out in the garden at home. Meghan was all smiles as she inspected a gorgeous pink rose that matched the colour of Lilibet’s outfit.

Lilibet was Harry’s mini-me again in a sweet photo taken from a family day out on the water, which showed off her head of vibrant red hair, just like her dad’s. The Duke of Sussex held his daughter on his lap in the snap shared by his wife to celebrate International Women’s Day in 2025.
