David is looking very regal!
ir David Beckham seems to have taken a leaf or two out of King Charles’ style book. The football favourite and businessman looked very dapper as he geared up to take over a role once fulfilled by the royals.
It looks like the former footy pro is channelling his inner prince with his latest move…

Sir David Beckham channels King Charles
The 50-year-old sports star looked very regal in his latest photoshoot in rural Oxfordshire.
There, he donned a tweed jacket and could be seen strutting through a field with a cane, rocking an ensemble very reminiscent of then-Prince Charles’ style in January of 1989 when he visited Scotland and wore a long tweed coat.
David definitely looked the part as he took over a role that has previously been occupied by King Charles and Princess Anne.
In his latest interview, David opened up about some of his favourite things. He divulged his favourite view, his best-loved recipe and his love for the countryside.
And this wasn’t any old chat – David stepped in as a guest editor of Country Life, a venture King Charles, Queen Camilla and Princess Anne have enjoyed.
It was here we caught a glimpse into David’s idyllic life in the Cotswolds.

David Beckham’s idyllic life in the Cotswolds
Sir David, who is a dad of four, discussed how he “fell far deeper in love” with the countryside through his friendship with director Guy Ritchie, who is from rural Hertfordshire.
David said of his special friendship with Guy Ritchie: “He’s a modern-day caveman, who has made me fall far deeper in love with the countryside and helped me to understand it even more than I did before. Sometimes, we sit for hours around a fire. Just the two of us. And talk late into the night.”
In this heartwarming edition, David posed for photos (you can get a glimpse of the snaps here) in a field close to his home in the Cotswolds, with a cane in hand and wellington boots on his feet.

Sir David definitely looked the part as he rocked dark green corduroy trousers and a blue gingham shirt in one shot.
In another, he could be seen sat on jetty, swinging his legs as he petted a couple of his five adorable dogs, two Cocker Spaniels, Olive and Fig.
David Beckham’s chic country style
Sir David sported jeans, wellingtons and a tan pull over jumper in that shot, posed against a serene waterside backdrop.
These days, Sir David shares that he loves the peacefulness of rural life. However, it is far from the hustle and bustle of East London he grew up with.
He even reflected on how he used to get away from the noise in his younger years. Fittingly, by escaping to the country.

He said: “(My) earliest memories of doing anything in the countryside are when I was a cub, then a scout and we used to go camping in Epping Forest.”
Sir David is following in the footsteps of King Charles, Queen Camilla and Princess Anne, who have all been guest editors of the publication over the years.
The editor-in-chief described Sir David’s edition as “an outstanding issue”.
David Beckham chats with Tom Parker Bowles
David’s interview also holds another link to the royals. In it, he spoke with none other than the queen’s son, Tom Parker Bowles about his favourite British dish.
David said of his favourite quintessentially British dish: “There’s something so nostalgic about mashed potato, liver, bacon and lots of gravy. It’s one of those British comfort classics that my mum used to make for me and was also my grandad’s favourite dish.
“My gran was also a great cook. And it was always a treat going down to the pie and mash shop in Chapel Market. If I had to choose my last meal, it would be pie, mash, liquor and jellied eels.”
