It’s the final MAFS 2026 Commitment Ceremony, can you believe it? We’ve made it!

Well, not all of us. One couple did officially break up this week, but we’ll get to that later.
Firstly, you guessed it! Stella and Filip make coffee and debrief on the Dinner Party that was. At this point, it’s not a Sunday episode without seeing them gaze at each other starry-eyed while chugging caffeine.
No one will be surprised by their decisions, but many of the other couples are having a tough time.
For example, there’s Alissa, David, and their much less peaceful morning coffee.
David wants to share his feelings with her, and she says she wants him to do that too, but he cannot get a word in.
Perhaps the experts will finally give him the space to speak?
Alissa and David
David isn’t wasting any time – he says he’s been putting his emotions aside to keep the peace in his relationship.
He’s cautious of talking to her, worried it will spiral into an unnecessarily tense argument. I’m confused, is this Alissa and David or Gia and Scott?
“I want a partner who can have a constructive conversation with me about an issue, but a partner who shuts you down and tells you what they’re saying is bible, there is an issue,” David explains.
This is not the smiley face we saw on Alissa’s Adelaide billboard. (Nine)
Alissa argues she doesn’t shut him down, but he has examples. Like when she called him a “weak man” and questioned his financial situation.
“What happened in this relationship is I’ve done a lot of listening, Alissa’s done a lot of talking,” he says.
David opens up about feeling unheard by Alissa
Mel Schilling pulls them up for going around in circles. She tells them it’s time to get real honest, with no put-downs or avoidance.
That is their goal for the week ahead, as each have chosen to stay and work through this.
Rachel and Steven
Our wholesome reprieve!
“I can feel myself falling in love with Rachel,” Steven explains.
Rachel feels exactly the same, but her emotions come to the surface as she remembers the last time someone said they loved her – the very next day they said they couldn’t remember saying it.
GRAB THE TISSUES. (Nine)
Knowing how genuine Steven is, it’s got her right in her feels.
Her fear is the experiment will end, they’ll go back to their lives, and Steven will decide she’s not a priority in his busy life and let her go.
The heartbreaking reason Rachel is terrified by Steven’s romantic confession
He wants to get out there and prove her wrong.
But first, there’s an experiment to finish – they’re staying.
Bec and Danny
Danny catches everyone up on his bad joke about Bec’s cousin fancying him, and while he knows it was a dumb thing to say, he’s worried his and Bec’s fight styles are too different.
He says he wouldn’t want to move his life and feel isolated and alone every time they argue.
He tries to steal David and Scott’s homework, saying he’s scared of how she’ll react if he’s honest about his perspective.
Caught between blinks. (Nine)
Then he laughs as Bec says she thinks he has more reservations than he lets on.
Oof. Cue a classic John Aiken telling-off.
Bec questions Danny’s lack of ‘passion’ in their relationship
Everything he’s done has made Bec think he’s just not that into her.
He says he is, but considering his lack of passion, compliments or physical touch, she can’t believe it.
“You have had enough time to know if I am the type of person you want to be with,” she cries.
“You do not have to tell me you love me, but I’m not going to walk down to Final Vows with someone who is a maybe about me.”
Going well! (Nine)
He blinks his way through John coaching him on how his (lack of) actions have affected their relationship.
“I am just a shit boyfriend, to be honest,” he says, which John groans at.
What an easy way to avoid accountability!
He apologises for making Bec feel insecure and vows to show her he’s into her – so luckily, they’re staying.
