En fechas recientes, la presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, anunció que su gobierno trabaja para darle luz verde a la comercialización del carro eléctrico producto del ingenio mexicano Olinia, el cual se proyecta como un vehículo que promoverá la movilidad sustentable, además del desarrollo tecnológico y la creación de empleos en el país.
El carro eléctrico que se ofrecerá a las y los mexicanos, será compacto, se ensamblará en México y tendrá un precio accesible, aseguró la mandataría.

La noticia fue bien recibida por los medios de comunicación, quienes fueron informados por la presidenta sobre el procedimiento que se está desarrollando para llevar Olinia al mercado.
Destacó también que su gobierno trabaja con el Tecnológico Nacional de México, TNM, con el Instituto Politécnico Nacional, IPN, y empresas privadas del sector automotriz.
Justo ayer tuvimos reunión con la Secretaría de Ciencia, Tecnología Humanidades e Innovación, el vehículo se llama Olinia, y se está trabajando con el TecNM, el Politécnico nacional y con otras instituciones de educación superior públicas y también con algunas empresas privadas.
¿Cuándo será lanzado Olinia al mercado?
Aunque aún no se ha dado a conocer la fecha exacta de su lanzamiento al mercado, el proyecto Olinia es casi una realidad, pues se sabe que en estos momentos se encuentran en la fase de patentes. Lo más probable, es que el vehículo esté disponible después de los dos primeros años del sexenio.
¿Cuánto costará Olinia? Precio a comparación
El vehículo eléctrico Olinia, debería mantener un precio por debajo de los 500 mil pesos. Aunque no se ha anunciado el precio oficial, se estima que podría costar entre 360 mil y 440 mil pesos.
De lograrlo, sería más económico que un Tesla Model 3 de 749,000 pesos o un BYD Dolphin Mini de 398,800 pesos. Sin embargo, el SEV E-Wan Cross sería la competencia directa, ya que cuesta 349,900 y actualmente es el automóvil eléctrico más barato de México.
